AAoA 2yr 6mo threshold at Experian?

A nice surprise this month at Experian. Score gains across the board with no change in account data on the 1st! Still with 3-of-4 reporting a balance at 3% (3.499 actual) agg util, $1,452 agg bal, and 9.422% ind util on Discover ($848) which is 9% for FICO scoring. I think the move to AAoA 2yr 6mo is what caused this. Here are the other aging values: AoOA: 3yr 9mo AoORA: 2yr 9mo AoOOA: 2yr 9mo AoY(R)A: 1yr 7mo AAoA: 2yr 6mo <-- Winner winner chicken dinner

Very nice! Maybe I missed it, did you get any points for your AoYA/AoYRA at 18 months?

Nothing on the 7 EX CMS and EQ/TU8 scores, which is all I get each month now. Something may have happened with EQ5/TU4, but I would never see it.

You should’ve experienced Scorecard change at 18 months on EX2. Any reason code shift?

I agree with your assessment regarding 2 years 6 months AAoA for the score gain, @Cassie . Are there any other thresholds you've found on your young file that have yielded AAoA gains? I was thinking perhaps 1 year 6 months? I'm a big believer that X years 6 months is a thing for quite a few different values.

I did a test at AAoA 1yr 6mo, keeping the account data the same month-to-month. EQ5: +8 TU4: +6 EX2: +10 (and EX3: +9) EX8s did not change. I had an EX8 score of 742 at that time. Today it's 765, so it took a whole year for +23pts.

A little odd that EX8 didn't change at the same time, but all of those other increases do point to a threshold being reached, IMO.

Anyone ever test 3.5, 4.5 or 5.5?

I've only tested 6.5 and 7.5 personally.

The 43 EX8 points I received yesterday on hitting 3.5 yr AAoA could not have all had been from AoORA hitting 2 years and my loan going to 9.4%. I do wish I could isolate that better though. I will check my old reports. I know I crossed a few AAoA marks while dirty.

@DustinD The high end on the loan utilization dropping under 10% was established to be 35 points by @Saeren , so it is possible and AoORA is highly underestimated. I do not doubt that it could be from those two metrics alone, although I’m not discounting the possibility of something else being conflated with it.

I thought I confirmed something at 7 years 6 months, but I can't find it. The good news is that with the recent account additions to my file, I'm at around 7 years 3 months AAoA now (I've got to actually recalculate it exactly) so in a few months time I should be able to test that point again.

I'm just seeing the 78 month one that Cassie referenced. All good though, I'll retest 90 months. Only thing I'm not sure about is if I was in a no new revolver scorecard (which currently I'm not of course) when I tested it the first time around. Doesn't really matter though, as a data point is a data point regardless.

Looks like I will hit 4 years AAoA in 2 months (maybe 3 depending on how our new mortgage plays out), so I can reconfirm that threshold.
