Hey @Birdman what do you think about editing your original post to add to your list what others reply in the thread?

I'm working toward a general way for anyone with the Outlier rank to make changes to these types of lists. The first thing I ran into while writing CRADIS for the web is how to handle the Lender dropdown selection. I can initially populate it with data from various lists all over the internet, but it will change over time, so there needs to be a lender table in the database and an easy way to make changes to it. Obviously, changes to those types of databases should only be done by trusted users and that's where all Outliers come in: all of you should be able to add/edit rows in those tables as new information becomes available. There is also the 'credit card' database that has their official names, benefits, card images, etc. There's an acronym database as well, and there will be more as we come up with new things to keep track of, so a general way for the group to make changes to all of these is the best way to go. Making updates to threads via posts was/is the only option for most internet forums, unless they pay dearly for that ability. (Making general database entry available for a wide range of forum types is a lot of work.)

I like this idea and I think it could be useful and I have some input. We should be able to mark certain threads as dynamic, for instance then at that point we know it is one where post one will need to be updated from time to time at least. if a thread is marked dynamic, give all outliers edit permission. Just like we are going to have a form with the input fields for CRAD, you can make a second form, Outlier edit form. It could be designed to allow Outliers to add additional lenders or edit existing names of lenders, product names etc. as used by CRAD/CRADIS and other uses we find. So you could put a button by the four for regular users but a fifth for Outliers & then pops up a form to edit those fields that would need it. Thoughts? We’re coming up with some good stuff!!
