I doubt EX3 is all that popular these days, but I wanted to make note of a surprising negative reason statement, "high revolving balances" that I'm seeing. Both "seeking credit" with 4 scoreable inquiries and "new account" with my newest account being 6 months old make sense in slots 1 & 2, no doubt.
"High revolving balances" though in slot 3... So I'm at AZEO with 10 total revolvers. On my AZEO card, I've got a $688 balance on a $20k limit.
For utilization percentage purposes, we're looking at 3.4% on that single card and aggregate utilization of .002%. While the reason statement clearly points to "balances" I thought it was worth pointing out that percentages in both cases are what I would consider too low to trigger anything, just mentioned for good measure.
So here's some evidence that raw dollars obviously do matter on some models. If I had to take a threshold point guess, I'd probably point to $500. Obviously that's nothing but a hunch. If it were a more important scoring model I'd be willing to test to find that threshold point, but it's EX3 after all...
