It will certainly help a lot of scores. I never understood why paid medical debt continued to get reported for the same reasons. Like it's so easy to end up with a medical bill you didn't know about!

This is great news. It comes 17 days after the CFPB published a report on the subject of medical debt. I ❤️ CFPB.

I support this 100%

I always felt medical debt should have been treated a bit differently than other debt.

These are positive moves, especially removing paid medical debt. Again so much different than CC debt and other debts. Being paid should no longer have bearing on one's credit score.

Like most other things that have come along with progress, it comes too late for me, but I am certainly glad it is there to help others now.

I see so many on credit forums and pages trying to get a mortgage but are often hindered simply by medical debt, alone.
