General guide for getting to 800s?

We have a link in the Primer to a thread on MF about this: Example of 20-year-old hitting 800 with two years history Later on, at 3yr0mo AoOA, he came back to say that his score dropped -20 points for no apparent reason. There were many other reports of this happening in a different thread. It also happened to me on TU8, but not EX8. (I think we have a link to the MF thread on this AoOA 3yr0mo threshold in the Primer as well.)

That's around what I was thinking. So you hit 800, build it up a bit more (another year) then drop to probably 785 or so and take a year or two to regain 800. Sounds reasonable.

The scorecard reassignment associated with that usually results in a drop of what, 20 points or so? I'm trying to recall back to those that have reported on that front. If so and we're talking a drop from (say) 810 to 790 on an otherwise optimized file, I wouldn't think that 800 would be out of reach for all too long under most circumstances when things like AAoA/AAoRA can give 4-5 point bumps each year, for example.

I totally agree if someone’s at 800 but how many people are going to start off in the correct manner so that they can achieve that by two years? If they follow my plan for those with no credit, I bet they wd but how many people know that? I posted it at Reddit and I’m 98% certain I posted it here as well. Hey I thought I made you a moderator in CreditRebels but when I looked you weren’t so I invited you again was it just fico?

Yeah that's why I took the angle early in this thread for someone following the path of optimization out of the gate. Later I went back and replied saying I understood that may not necessarily be the case for everyone. I thought it was CR that you gave mod access to?
