I suppose I can think of it this way. Together they come to over $14k. Total credit limit available across all cards is now $48.4k. This is about what I make in a year. I think I’m good on credit for a while. Now to decide on how I’m going to meet the sign up bonus requirements on both the Amex and the Cash Rewards… Hmm… I have to cannibalize spending on all my other cards and take the full 6 months Amex is giving me to meet theirs. Cash Rewards is only giving me.3 months to do it.

I might not bother trying to hit mine either. I mean, I can conceivably do it. I’m nearly halfway through the amex one already and I’ve had that card for a little over a week. I bought 3 plane tickets with it. So, I have another 5.5 months to do the other half on that. I could, perhaps, stop spending on that one for 3 months, cannibalize the spending on my other cards as well, and maybe MAYBE hit the Cash Rewards sign up bonus. MAYBE. But I’m not sure it’s worth the work and missing out on better cash back with my other cards for some purchases for a giant maybe. Really should have waited on the plane tickets till I knew I was getting this card, but my mother demanded I book my flight to her ASAP. She hasn’t seen her grandchildren since the pandemic began.

Finally got it! Now what to do with the Pure Rewards card. Pretty much the only benefit to that card are the same boosted quarterly categories as the Cash Rewards card. I guess I’ll just toss a coffee on it every 6 months…

That’s right do exactly that with it, it’s another bankcard that helps your score and maybe you can get it converted to the platinum if they have one!
