So, my last CA randomly came off TU and EX early today! Now, the changes have me very confused. While my utilization is not pretty this reporting period (missed statement cut date, doh!), those changes were already accounted for scorewise, but the CA coming off gave very depressing results....which is really surprising...only +35 for my EX F8? To go 100% clean??? Usually the last of a type of baddie that comes off leads to quite good increases. Well, not so much in my case, at least for F8s, and the other score changes are quite confusing. For instances, my EX 2 gained +79 pts!?!? I *did* do a fresh pull via Experian (not MF, but tempted. Wanted to wait for util to update). EX F8 had a weak gain, yet all other scores drastically increased (at least the ones on EX app), where even my EX 2 sky rocketed past F8 - all with 50% agg util (up to 48% ind util, depending on card), almost all AWB, and 3 new accounts with newest account being only 6 mo old. Thoughts?

@LaHossBoss if you have Excel or LibreOffice Calc (free) you can use the spreadsheet @beets18 made and see the aging metrics in all their current and future glory. It'll take some of the uncertainty about your calculations away. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=813&hilit=Age+of+account Edit: I just checked it with the Excel app on Android and it works there. The app is free if you have an email account from Microsoft. I used an old Hotmail account. Edit: clarification - email account.

@Have1 ok, I did it, but one quirk. I know nothing is perfect, but just more of an FYI, and that may not be able to be taken in account for, anyway. EX and EQ don't follow closed date for aging off. They actually use "last updated" date to base the 10 years of reporting after closing on. Crazy, I know. For many, it would be the closed date, but for some it will not be, like myself. So, I just plug in the "last updated" date in the "closed" section. It already aged off TU (closed 3/2010), so it was a non-issue. So, according to your chart, it does round up. And unless the MF is only considering the "closed date" for AAoRA or maybe using only open accounts, it is 2y even, so I guess they round up at any decimal over .0 So, that makes sense for scoring on TU, but if MF counted my oldest revolver, which will still be reporting in 5 months, it would not be an aging threshold at 3y 10mo for AAoRA. So, that could be it: MF sim is using AAoRA, thinking it is 2y for both EX and TU, but doesnt explain why EQ doesn't get any scoring boost if that is the aging metric they are using. I guess perhaps because EQ is still on a PR scorecard?

@LaHossBoss, @beets18 is the author of the spreadsheet, not me. I found it much better than my attempt. @Birdman,@BrutalBodyShots and @Cassie can offer better insight on this than I can. From what I have seen of CMS and their crystal balls they don't seem to follow what we have learned about the algorithms and fail to differentiate between all the scorecards when calculating things. There are some odd things on my reports which we have talked about. I'm not convinced whether they are actually on the record or just transcription errors when pulled for display to the consumer. Hopefully, we can get some better informed input from our gurus. Edit: Fix bbcode.

@Have1 , sorry, did not mean to imply it was your error or creation. Just after following me and SO's CRs closely the past 3 years, these are the things I noticed about old, closed accounts aging off. You may be right, though, who knows what counts? I will say, the last batch of oldest accounts that aged off me and SO's CRs did impact scoring, so that says something, even though they were past 10yrs closed (went off "last updated" date on EQ and EX). Just like the couple other quirks with EX, where they age off baddies 2-3 months early, drop chains of lates all at once when the first in the string hits 7 years old, and how they age off inquiries at 13 mo, instead of 12 mo. I will sat, oddly, that EX did age of my inq at an unusual time recently. Not at 12mo or 13mo, but in between? Strange... Anyway, in 5 months, we will see what scoring impact there may be, if any, and that could be a good test! I will do my best to keep utilization steady, but I will have 1 inq on EX hit 1yr in Dec, I am sure the impact will unlikely be worth 40pts or anything even close!
