Birdman, Birdman7, MFBirdman7 : 1976 - 2023

Birdman was involved in an automobile accident and pronounced dead at the scene. He was laid to rest on Friday, May 19, 2023. This is where we welcome you to express your condolences and sympathies. Stunned would cover it. Speechless ... unreal ... a leader and friend to many it is so unreal? Got to go absorb what happened.

This is terribly sad news. Birdman7 contributed so much time and effort to educate all of us on the intricacies of FICO scoring algorithms. One can only imagine how many individuals he helped over the years.

I want to express my sincere condolences.
I was very shocked to hear the news.
Life is very fragile ..to say the least.
I have come to realize that friends are on loan, forever how long we have them.

Birdman "Birdman7" was always there to help, he was always kind and gracious,
I don't know a lot about his personal life, but I can tell how he helped other on the forums,
that he must have been larger than life. I was really rattled by the news, and took some time to reflect,
on all that I knew about him. May he rest in peace.
He will forever be remembered in my heart and mind.

I was devastated when I found out Birdman passed. He was one of the first people I learned from when I joined the myFICO Forums in 2020 and started building credit. He has done so much for our community and I’m sure thousands of people have learned from his contributions over the years. He will be deeply missed.

I'll definitely miss BM, as will many others. When I first joined MF and started going down the algorithm rabbit hole in 2016, he was one of the key people that fueled my passion. We bounced ideas, data points and findings off of each other constantly, both on the forum and through personal email. I probably wouldn't have continued with this hobby past obtaining a clean scorecard in 2017 (goal achieved) if it weren't for the motivation realized through conversations with him.

The amount of people he helped with credit when you consider all avenues like MF, Reddit, here, personal life etc. has got to be in the tens of thousands, especially when you consider his masterpiece in the Credit Scoring Primer. That document is the greatest I've ever seen when it comes to truly understanding the intricacies of credit scoring. The fact that he took the time to put that together, constantly keep it updated and share it with the world at no cost really speaks to his character and willingness to help others.

Birdman will be remembered as a leader in the credit scoring community and as someone willing to dedicate countless hours to help others while never looking for anything in return. I don't know anyone that has ever had a negative thing to say about him when it comes to this stuff. He was incredibly kind, supportive and motivating to so many. We'll miss you dude.

Oh my god! This is so sad! What a tragic loss. Everything BBS said is spot-on. Birdman was one-of-a-kind. He worked tirelessly and cheerfully to help others, and he asked for nothing in return. I hope my children live their lives as altruistically as Birdman did. To @BirdmansSister: your brother was beloved in this community. We are sorry for your loss and we too will miss him greatly.

I found these on a OneDrive folder that I shared with Birdman. We were collecting information and graphics in it for the original Credit Scoring Primer at the old forum. His old avatars. Lots of people here will remember these:

I just feel like I'm going to cry every time I read a sentence he wrote. I hear his voice. I remember the good conversations we had.

I miss his enthusiasm. It really pushed me along.
