Amex starting to pull TU, not just EX?

Here's the link to what I mentioned in the Reddit sub, about Amex using all 3 CRAs for an HP, about 10 years ago (2013). There have been scattered reports about it on MF for years now.

Cool. So for more sure fire approvals the expectation is still EX for the most part you think?

Maybe they are just becoming more common lately. I'm curious if all of the TU pulls are seen with "on the cusp" type approvals.

For my BCP it was both TU and EX. I was kind of expecting the double pull because I was probably an edge approval as I got the 7-10 days message (though I had my approval less than an hour later) and was only a couple months past the 61mo auto BK denials (fortunately I did not get the dreaded $1k SL).

I think so, and an increase in TU or even EQ HPs may have a lot to do with all the reports of rising credit card debt this year. Bloomberg had one from a few days ago, with the line "Rejection rates for credit card applications are rising".
