Absolutely worth it. There's nothing wrong with taking a HP (or two) to get a limit to where you want it. In a year the inquiry won't matter, but the goal limit achieved will.

Great CLI ... and seems I read six month is pretty common with US Bank. As has been written they tend to be conservative early on. You gave them performance and they liked it ... nice!

Appreciate the card myself and even date back to the first year they offered it. Categories change now and then but it fits well with other cards.

Yes, I knew they were conservative with approvals and SLs. Most people advised being 0/6, 1/12 when applying. I pushed my luck a little at 1/6, 2/12 and got in. While the $2k SL seemed small, I should be grateful it wasn't $500 like the SL many people get from USB. I put my cable bill on it every month and one or two other minor charges, carrying a balance to take advantage of the 0%, but keeping it under 30%.

I like all my 5% cards. This one is interesting because the categories are a little different from the others. More variety means I can get 5% back on more of my spending.
