It has been a long time since I chased new credit cards. They have a rather unique rewards system that is not like most. Will need to retrain my mind on this. Like the fact they have some real card benefits beyond cash rewards. Closed FNBO Visa and the Elan Max Rewards as I no longer was using them.

This the affinity fcu out of New Jersey? Or a different one?

Different one only in Minnesota.

I think they have a backdoor for anyone to join--donate like $10 to a specific charity, something like that.

Also, unless they changed their cards since the last time I looked, I remember their rewards card being a pretty bland points-to-cashback card with a somewhat convoluted cpp redemption that worked out to 1% cb.

One thing that is kind of interesting with them is that you can earn points in other ways, like on the balances of your deposit accounts, and you can spend them on stuff at the credit union, like interest rate discounts on auto loans.
