Chase Freedom Flex

I have been wanting this card for a bit now so I was gardening for it. I was on reddit just scrolling and came across a post that said Chase was offering 5% on groceries so I clicked it and someone listed off like 6 different options when you go into incognito and keep trying. One of them was $200 for $500 spend, the highest SUB listed, and when I clicked, that's what it offered me, along with the standard 0% for 15 months intro purchase APR. Filled out the details and was instantly approved. The APR they gave me is pretty high... The range was 20.24%-29.24%... But as I won't be carrying a balance anyway, it doesn't matter to me. 4/24, $70K HHI, pulled EX (EX8 was 825 at time of inquiry, unsure of the algorithm they used).

Congrats! I love this card. I'm getting 7x on dining this quarter. It's a quarterly 5x category, but since the card pays 3x on dining all the time, they stack. I know 3x + 5x doesn't seem like it would equal 7x. New math, lol. The way they figure it is you get 1x on everything. An extra 2x on dining to make it 3x most of the time. The 5x categories are actually the 1x base plus another 4x. So the 1x doesn't get doubled. Its 1x + 2x + 4x = 7x. Mine's 27.99%, so you're doing better than that.

I have wanted this card for a while but was not under 5/24 since my BK fell off (they gave me my Amazon at 7/24 but I tried for the Flex last May and was shot down for too many new accounts at 9/24). I had heard that they stack. I'll have to keep an eye on that because I already made the mistake of putting it in my "cards to use for 2Q" as 5%. So far I'm already impressed. Chase added it to my portal immediately and let me set it all up, they show how much spend I have left until I hit the SUB, I like that both cards show on the main page of the portal (with Disco I have to select which card I want to manage, it's clunky IMO), and it seems like it would let me add it to my mobile wallet before I even get the card but I don't know if I want to risk them getting spooked about me doing that.

Yeah I check those frequently and I saved this page to my credit card bookmark folder so that I can check for targeted offers each month when I'm doing my budget. https://www.chase.com/mybonus

I've had luck in the past with that link but nothing for a while now. I think the best was 4th quarter of '22 I think it was when I got 10% on gas with my Prime card. Nothing for all of '23 and '24.

They've given me 5% on restaurants with my Prime VISA a few times. Actually just got this reminder email today for restaurants, gas, and home improvement.
