Hey everyone! After paying off a couple of cards- I checked to see what personal loans I could take advantage of. I got preapproved for almost my whole credit card debt through Upstart- the catch being that it didn’t make financial sense to do that. I was able to find a loan amount that saves me $60 a month! I just accepted the loan and will be able to pay off 5 cards! I feel a HUGE weight off my shoulders for a couple of reasons- 1 I save some money! 2- it puts 5 payments into one and will help with budgeting! My wife also was approved for a personal loan for ALL of her cards and is saving $40/month! She also just received a promotion and will be getting another raise in a few months. Things are starting to look up!

The APR SUCKS! But- I’m saving money in the short run so I’m happy. I’m hoping I can refinance once my scores have gone up a little!

Did forecast your expected individual and aggregate revolving utilization reduction?

If crossing thresholds, you should see a score increase.

Oh I for sure will see a hefty increase if I had to guess. I’ll be paying off cards that are 95%+ in utilization- and should bring aggregate utilization down significantly. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to add another high balance card in the mix but I’ll take this small win. Maybe when I can refinance I can add it in, or maybe I’ll get a BT offer

Congrats to you and DW on your approvals! I had to bite the same bullet with Lending Club years ago. Just made the final payment last month! Definitely refinance if your scores allow. It was a long, painful process paying that sucker off! Good luck!
