Was changing user names a more recent requirement? I recall using the same UN for many CCT $1 trials.

Wasn't there another product that came out, maybe 2-3 years ago at this point that was similar to CCT $1 trials? I want to say it was around the same price and same deal, cancel in X days or whatever, but the difference was you got 8 or 9 scores instead of just the 3 Classic 8s. Anyone remember what that was? I remember doing it once or twice and was impressed, thinking it was better than CCT trials. My scores maxed out around that time and my file was stable so I stopped using those products years ago. Now that I'm in the process of tanking my scores, perhaps I'll revisit them!

There are a few people on the other forum that have been getting back-to-back month long free trials directly through Experian.com. They just cancel before the month is up, wait a week, and then go right back in. lol I can't believe it works over and over, but many have been doing it. Just select one of the 14.99 or 24.99 plans with the 30-day free trial. I've let my 14.99 monthly plan expire a few times when I knew nothing special was due for a few months on my file. Then one time I changed my mind a few weeks later and got another free month of daily scores before I was charged 14.99 for the following month of monitoring. So that's really 7.50 a month.

I can't recall exactly. Last time I used CCT heavily was 2019. I think it had to do with me doing multiple 3B pulls in a month or just plain user error.

Is it credit.com? Site shows it gives you 28 FICO scores.

I was eligible for a few of those month long free trails before. $14.99 is a good price. I only get the 10 day trial offer nowadays. Which isn't too bad because it will allow another 3B pull.

It wasn't credit.com. I think whatever it was may have been another Experian product, similar to CCT. I'm pretty sure it was 9 Fico scores you got for the trial... the 3 F8's plus 6 others; it may have been 3 scores per bureau. Credit.com must offer different products. From what I recall they were a free CMS that just provided a monthly EX VS 3.0, but it sounds like maybe they've got other options.

lol That just sounds funny. But no way you're going below 760... "That said, if you reach that perfect 850 credit score, you may not remain there long. But lenders don’t particularly care whether your score is 850 or 790, noted credit expert John Ulzheimer, who describes a score of 760 or above as “the sweet spot for credit.”

I wouldn't think so. The AoYRA reset will probably get me down to 825, age of accounts reductions from 2 revolvers (3 if AOD comes through) maybe a tad more. The X-factor for me is the addition of a HELOC, something new to my file that I'm not sure we understand completely the impact of. I'm hoping to end up around 800, goal to be back to 850 by 6/15/22 or so.

I think Credit Monitoring Services deserves its own category on the Front Page, right under Credit Scoring Analysis. Otherwise, things are going to get too buried in this single thread. Category -> Forums -> Topics -> Posts is how it works with this software. There could be a special forum for CMS's to Avoid, and one for Recommended. I miss my monthly 28 score report.

lol But not enough to go back to myFICO, so I thought of trying credit.com's Extra Credit subscription for $24.99. You get a monthly update of all 28 FICO scores, but there are no score alerts between those updates like there is with myFICO. So I settled on Experian's CreditWorks Premium subscription at $19.99 a month, which provides daily updates and score change alerts for EX 8, Auto 8, Bankcard 8, EX 2, Auto 2, Bankcard 2, and EX 3. It also provides a monthly EQ8 and TU8 score. That subscription is sort of buried inside the Experian mobile app. You have to go into your Profile and select Membership and then Upgrade to find it. Otherwise they offer the IdentityWorks subscription at $24.99 which only provides quarterly updates on the EQ/TU8 scores, in addition to the regular daily EX monitoring.

Having it's own category is probably a smart move, since CMS are discussed quite frequently.

No nest, Mr. Bird. lol It's so fundamental to tracking score changes that I think it should be featured prominently.
