I just pulled my new 3B from MF and the F10s make my head numb thinking about them. I am trying tonpuece together any changes that may have contributed to scores going down (persisted number of AWB?), as ind util has gone down, as far as I can tell. I pointed out prior score in the graph if there was a change. Overall, EQ dipped -5pt on 10T and and TU gained +1pt on the other 3 scores.

Any sort of data trend change you can point to?

I hope that's not the case, as I have a problem with that. AWB month after month is not an issue so long as one is PIF month after month. If someone uses their cards organically / doesn't micromanage balances but is still a pure Transactor they'll almost always have a high number/percentage of AWB, many times all will be an AWB. That would be a poor algorithm flaw IMO if it were to penalize someone for that. Now, someone moving from (say) 2 AWB to 3 AWB... 4 ... 5... etc. month after month may be showing a negative trend, so I'd get that triggering a code of current AWB vs recent historical AWB. But, if someone has (say) 10 AWB this month, 10 the next month, 10 the next etc. I don't see why F10 should penalize that at all in terms of trended data beyond the penalty already associated with AWB that we're already familiar with.

If I remember I think Trended is looking for deviation from patterns. It can give you ~ +/-20 points or take it.

Basically, I think it gives to you if you’re in the pattern; takes from you if you’re not? Wonder if we can locate all the negative reason codes yet?

That would be helpful. I have been paying off statement balance on CCs with no BT and new purchases, plus paying down on CCs with BT. So, my best guess is, I reported AZEO for nearly 2 years (minus 1 or 2 mistakes in statement cut date), but since I got the 3 new CCs in Nov/Dec, I have been playing with high balance, util thresholds, and had BTs. I have also paid off BTs and paid down to 0% util. I am not ecactly sure what "pattern" they are following on the latter portion, but the first portion is a change in "trend". New credit = no more AZEO = big F10/T penalties for upwards trending debt and increased AWB? I should be completely paid off on all accounts in the next couple months, and I will circle back to the negative reason codes to see if it changes or if it requires sustained low AWB and debt load? Can they really tell if a prior statement bal is paid off when new charges take it's place? In the case of transactors (which I primarily am to avoid paying interest?).

My biggest questions would be:

1 - What "patterns" is it looking at exactly. No doubt revolving balances... could be number of, dollars, etc. Could be other things as well, say the opening of a new account. If one goes years without opening a new account and then opens one, that breaks the pattern... would F10 penalize for that outside of the penalty the other algorithms already impose for the opening of a new account? Things like that.

2 - What time frame (12 months, 24 months, etc) is F10 looking at regarding patterns. And, whatever it is looking at, is there are hard end to it like an inquiry becoming unscoreable for example? Or, if it is looking at say 24 months, does the most recent 12 hold water and impact the pattern trend more than the older 12 months that still make up the 24?

I feel like F10T will be bad news for transactors and BT junkies - people that avoid paying interest because that doesn't make banks money, just as much as it will be bad news for those struggling with debt. Fico, I dont believe was created with the intent of helping consumers, but rather banks, to help them be able to appropriately charge interest/make money....sadly.

@BrutalBodyShots , I agree, we need more info. 24 months trended data has been thrown around a lot, but at what point do losses deminish? Do they deminish? Is it all or none the entire time? Or does it decrease at 12m and then disappear at 24m? Or what, exactly? Maybe there will be a Reddit Q&A about F10 at some point? Or a guide of some sort? I certainly hope it does not take 2+ years to start getting traction with figuring out how it all works!

Let me correct some thing I said earlier that I think was incorrect. Well it has a deviation of 20 points I think if you’re trending upwards that’s how far you can go down while if you’re trending downward that’s how far you can go up while at baseline I don’t think it bothers you much and yes I believe it’s watching Revolving Balances and AWB. JMHO Until we can get some reason codes for me to examine. We need a new subforum @Cassie just for 10 and I need everyone to contribute all reason codes until we have them all. And yes 24 months is the time frame although I’m sure that the last six months is the most important with 12 months being more important than the 24. And yes if lenders report your payment amount they can tell but it depends on lender. @LaHossBoss

@Birdman , thanks for the feedback! In about a week, I will have a new 3B pull with downward trending balances, but AWB remaining the same. Maybe we will start seeing a pattern slowly emerging. My balances will continue to be reducing, as well as AWB, over the next 2-4 months, and I am excited to see what changes those bring to my F10s! I agree with a new subforum for F10s. People are going to have a lot of questions.

MF’s 3B reports now include EX Score 10. As recently as ten days ago, they only had EQ and TU.

Good to know. I have yet to pull my scores from there since 10s became available. Maybe now would be a good time. On second thought I'll probably wait until June 1, as I've got 5 inquiries becoming unscoreable on June 3 so it would be cool to have a "before" pull to be able to quantify their impact loss.
