No idea, some sort of auto glitch on their end. I pay the $30 or whatever which gives me the report/scores and then a day or two later it automatically gives me a full refund. This has happened probably 7-8 times now over the course of the last year.

Has anyone tried the extraCredit product from credit.com? I am considering it in addition to Experian just so I can get the mortgage scores for TU and EQ.

I was going to try that myself, but then settled on Experian CreditWorks through the mobile app for $19.99 a month. This is the EX subscription that provides the same daily updates of 7 EX scores (no F9s) and also gives a monthly update of EQ/TU 8 scores. Based on reviews I've read, extraCredit doesn't provide any score change alerts between the monthy 28-score updates. I also miss my monthly EQ5 and TU4 from my FICO Premier subscription.

If you join DCU they'll give you EQ5 free every month. Unfortunately TU4 is a bit hard to get. WyHy is the only free source I know for it and its quarterly. Looks like WyHy actually tightened up membership restrictions too.

Hell yes it is. I have no idea how it started but will continue to abuse it until I don't see a reversed charge. I did 3 pulls in June since I had so much going on with my file, all $96+ refunded.

I guess I'm lucky when it comes to TU4 since my mortgage lender provides it monthly. That's about the only positive thing I have to say about Nationstar/Mr. Cooper.

I always get the below screen, but I think it could sometimes be 10 day trials. I always cancel immediately after accepting and pick the 'not worth the price too expensive' option. I doubt that matters though. I have had continuous coverage for nearly two years now, not counting the times where I forget to or don't bother to log in on any given day. The steps I take: 1) https://www.creditchecktotal.com/ 2) member login 3) Sign in button (my info is auto filled by my browser) 4) I am now at the screen shot page and hit Submit Secure Order 5) My profile > Membership tab 6) Do you want to change your Experian CreditWorks℠ Premium Membership? *Click* Update online. 7) Select CreditWorks Basic > Pick 'Not worth the price too expensive' (I doubt that last part matters) I then keep my premium benefits for ~11 days before repeating the process

Yes that's the screenshot I'm familiar with above as well where I always select keep current membership. I don't recall having seen a 10 day trial offer.

I don't think I have seen a 10 day offer, but I believe I have seen it count down 10 days before the trial runs out and I can renew and thus get another 3B report. Speak of the devil... I logged out and back in and was greeted with:

So if you click to upgrade the membership, do you get any indication that you're entering into a 10 day trial, or do you sort of figure that out on your own? I've never clicked it / took a chance just because I didn't want to get charged.

I don't get any indication that it is really a 10/11 day trial.

I take the free trial, cancel it immediately, and then wait for the days to count down to zero. After it hits zero I am always (knock on wood) offered another trial.

I keep my premium benefits the whole time. I have never once been charged.

If I don't cancel immediately the banner that normally counts to zero says something else. I don't fully recall the details of what it looks like or says but I think it is a 30 day countdown?? or something that at least indicates to me (by looking different than what I normally see) that I need to cancel.
