So I wanted an ebike and I decided that I was going to let the credit gods decide based on whether I get approved for a new card or not. FNBO offered $4200 but with 4 EX inquiries I wasn't sure they wouldn't just close the card. The Autograph came out with a $300 SUB and no 15 month between bonuses language so I went for it. They said no problem but wait 3 days for the card to be processed in the system. In true credit seeker fashion, "while I have you on the phone, can we check if I'm eligible for a credit limit increase?" 😂 Asked for $2K, got $1K without a second HP. Works for me. $7K with Wells Fargo now. Woot! No idea what the APR is because I didn't go read the terms before it timed out lol.

....seriously making it crazy hard to stay in the garden lol!

I am personally more of a scooter fan. Me and SO got basic ones a few years back, the exact same kind you can rent around most major cities (like Spin or Bird), and we absolutely love them, but I have had a major itch to buy some upgraded ones - more power and can handle off road stuff. Ours top out at like 23mph, does pretty poorly on hills (especially SO), limited distance (even with extra battery pack added on) and not meant to go off road at all - so kinda lame at this point. SO is not obese by any stretch of the imagination, but a full grown male over 6ft tall is a bit much for any sort of heavy usage. Our pup loves going scootering and it is probably his favorite thing ever. Walks are too slow for him and we aren't runners, so this has been a great compromise!

But, they arent cheap - much like an e-bike - we are looking at $1.5-$2k/ea *and* I have been dreaming about getting a UTV....and a newer vehicle (or at least upgrade the stereo, radar detector, and a few other odds and ends)....and a daily driver for SO....and....and.....AND.....lol - I just can't have it all at once, or I will go into a debt sprial (or maybe bust out?), so I have to pick one item at a time and go slow. I *did* just purchase a washer/dryer set from BB and waiting for that to show up in about a week...

Enjoy that new e-bike! I am sure you will love it! And a quality purchase is totally worth it. Dont shortchange yourself if you know you will use it and want it to do what you need it to as well as last. I believe in the buy it once method (you know, within reason - a long term purchase rather than something that isn't what you really want that will probably have to be replaced in a short period of time relative to cost).

Haha yeah this is definitely not the place to hang out if you're not wanting new cards xD

I thought about a scooter a long time ago but I have been wanting a bike anyway and a scooter would probably kill my back. As soon as I got on this thing, I was sold, and like I didn't even try the standalone throttle, just the pedal assist lol. The throttle will be a whole new dimension of fun. Apparently you can actually hack these to remove the limiter that makes it a Class 2 (20MPH top speed) ebike and get it over 25MPH but I probably won't do that.

I would go for something a bit higher up the ladder but it would cost like $5K to be able to have the same battery capacity even. Since I'm not a heavier rider, just 6'1" and about 170, I don't need the 749W motor that comes with the higher tier models (this one has 500W) but I want the fat tires because they handle better when it's wet and Jimi says they're better for reliability too (he actually has multiple certifications in bicycle repair so I trust his opinion). The Element just seems like the sweet spot.

Congrats on the approval. Didn't you get the Active Cash maybe a year ago or so, possibly less? That's solid grabbing two WF cards with SUBs in relatively close succession. Nicely done!

Yep, got the Active Cash in October. I was honestly surprised that they approved me because I haven't used the Active Cash much at all.
