So I've had a $20k Citi Flex Loan offer sitting on my account for probably over a year now. I get mailers every other month or so in my mailbox about them, email reminders of them and of course am spammed with them when I log into my account. I find it silly that they always have a must respond by date or offer ends date of usually 6 or so weeks out, just to see the offers continue 6 weeks later with a new expiration date. Anyway, for the first time today I see that they've increased the offer by 50%, so they're now targeting me for a $30k Citi Flex Loan. Has anyone else seen their offer increase without your credit line increasing? My card has a $32,900 limit, so instead of pushing me for up to 61% of my credit line being used by the loan it can now be 91%. I still plan on taking advantage of one of these offers if Citi can ever figure out how to get my account to update monthly with TU. I'd go with the full $30k, let it report, then pay it off just to bump up my "high balance" on the account. That's been the plan for a long time now, just waiting to see if Citi can ever get their shit together. Good to know I can nearly max out the card now with one rather than going for just 61% utilization.

Is a Citi Flex Loan always a targeted offer? On neither of my cards do I have an option to use that, but my cards have far smaller limits than yours.

Yep, it's a targeted offer. I have it on one card and not the other.

Really? That's interesting... exactly matched right on? Do you have an "even" limit with them or a screwy one like mine?

Oh damn, looks like it's available up to my available limit ($3100 total but I paid for burgers and fries for the boyfriend and I the other night) on the Custom Cash now too.

Anyone else with a Citi card an a Flex Loan offer, are you able to go for a loan for the total amount of your credit limit?

Yes. They email me daily for these "Flex Loans" and it is for the entire available credit limit. Unfortunately, unlike everyone else here, my APR is 17.99% - so I am good. I would never take a loan at that rate lol Maybe because you have a substantial credit limit is perhaps why it was only partial?

Maybe. But if they bumped it from $20k to $30k, why not go the last $2900 I guess for the full limit? I would never take one of their Flex Loans to actually use as a loan, regardless of how good the rate was... for me it's all about just bumping up the high balance on the account to show some "heavy usage" and perhaps stimulate a CLI which I haven't been able to acquire in over a year on the account.

@BrutalBodyShots , I too, pine for a CLI from Citi, but I know my issues: I have had the account only 8 months and I still have a CA on EQ until Feb/Mar. I really have put heavy spend, using most of the limit each month and got denied for "score too low" lol, it was sub-700. If only they used EX like for my initial approval ... Fingers crossed you can get a CLI. Do they often give limits above 32k?

I've seen some limits in the $40k-$50k range, higher of course for well above average income individuals.

From what I've seen it seems that Citi seems to allow limits to land around 40% of income give or take, with outlier examples of course. I should have a little bit more wiggle room, but don't anticipate much more on my account before hitting the ceiling.

The problem for my account now is that due to the reporting fiasco I've been battling with them about for over a year, my spend has gone from the tens of thousands annually to a couple hundred bucks annually. Basically I've shown them nothing but tough love... if you can't fix your reporting issues I'm not using your product sort of thing. I only routinely change the balance on the account (by a couple of dollars) every few weeks just so that I can tell when the account actually updates on my CR based on the reported balance.
