Hello Rebels, I recently started a new job and have some planned spend coming up, so I thought now would be a good time to app for a new card with a nice SUB. I decided to app for the BofA Premium Rewards with the elevated 60,000 point SUB and the 2.62% back on everything with Preferred Rewards. With my current setup, I didn't have a good catch-all card. I applied on Sunday and did not receive an instant decision. This morning (Tuesday), I got a call from BofA for identity verification and then it was sent back to the credit department. I checked my online banking this afternoon and found this: I was approved with a $33,000 SL! :o This is over TWICE my highest limit card that has a $15,000 limit! This approval also brings my TCL over $100K! DPs: EX pull: 761 FICO 8 0/12 new accounts Reported income: $40K (seriously!) 12 year banking relationship with BofA (checking, savings, CCR) Last app: May 2022 (CSP) This was worth the Emerald Spade I just traded in and this approval greatly exceeded my expectations. I would not have expected to have a SL and TCL this high at this point in my credit journey. Back to the garden I go until I am ready for the next one! :D

Sounds like that 0/12 status did some carrying here! Wonder how much that 12-year relationship matters too. I've always been tempted by BofA because of their preferred rewards but haven't made the switch cause as a 24 y/o I just don't have the assets to even think about it.

Totally worth losing your leaderboard spot. Great pick up!

Awesome $33k SL! I don't think I've ever seen a SL at 82.5% of income. Hell, most lenders won't let you get to 82.5% of your income across multiple cards after growing them significantly for years.

Whatever the reason, your profile clearly aligns well with them and congrats on the superb pickup!

Lol spoken like a true seeker of credit xD They have tightened up since then. They don't even offer BTs anymore and PenFed used to be a very reliable source for them, with most people having endless 0% APR, 3% fee BTs available. I still have the card though. It stays permanently locked unless I'm doing quarterly keep alive charges. Same for my $20K and $33K NFCU cards.
