I went on a 5 card spree in December of 2019 and all those accounts will be 2 years by the end of the year. Should I expect a scoring bump when all those cards hit 2 years? I think I remember getting a bump when my Discover turned 2 years ago.

Good question really, because we're not completely sure about everything related to Age of Youngest Revolving Account (AoYRA). Also calculate your AAoRA and see if it might be at a multiple of 3 at the same time. Any aging value in months that is a multiple of 3 is suspect. AAoA is also important to watch at the time, because that definitely contributes to score changes. FICO specifically mentions Oldest and Average in the explanations for every aging characteristic/reason statement. It's quite a lot of values to track! Installment, revolving, mortgage, auto...so 2 on each and they even have separate tracking for OPEN and CLOSED on some of them which adds to the confusion.

Interesting. I went back and calculated my open AAoRA at 24M. No closed revolvers reporting. I got points on the first of that month but I couldn't figure out what it was. No individual or aggregate or accounts with balance change. No change to other Experian models except below. EX AU8 +9 EX BC8 +9 EX F8 + 8 ETA No notable age threshold crossed for AAoA, AoYA.

This is awesome, @AllZero ! These are the things that CRADIS will make very easy for us to figure out once all of our account opening dates and types are entered and saved in the database. Enter them all once and that's it - everything will update automatically on the 1st of the month from that point on. It's quite a long list of aging metrics and each one that's at a multiple of 3 gets flagged with a nice visual indicator. We'll finally be able to correlate score changes with any of that long list of aging metrics that hardly anyone has been tracking. Also, machine learning algorithms will be able to find a pattern in those as we get more and more data from users.

Sounds to me based on what @AllZero said that AAoRA could possess a 2 year threshold. That however is different than what @JNA1 is referencing, so he'd have to calculate his AAoRA to see where it is now / where it will be when his 5 spree accounts all reach 2 years. Assuming those 5 were not his first revolver(s) and he had others prior, he'd be hitting 2 years AAoRA prior to those 5 all reaching 2 years, meaning the score bump associated with this probable threshold would already have been realized.

Here is the before and after negative reason codes for AU8 and BC8. No change for EX F8. Looks like second and third place codes were swapped: 23M EX AU8 High Credit Usage, Short Revolving History, Short Account History, High Revolving Balances 24M EX AU8 High Credit Usage, Short Account History, Short Revolving History, High Revolving Balances 23M EX BC8 High Credit Usage, Short Revolving History, Short Account History, Accounts With Balances 24M EX BC8 High Credit Usage, Short Account History, Short Revolving History, Accounts With Balances

Thank you for the tip to check! I don't track the age of accounts that thoroughly. It's a lot of work. The CRADIS sounds great. I would be excited to use it.

An additional data point. The following first of the month AAoA hit 36 months. Like the previous first of the month, no change to individual or aggregate utilization, AWB changes. No change to negative reason codes either. No notable age threshold crossed with AoYA. 36M EX AU8 + 3 EX BC8 + 4 EX F8 +3

@AllZero we need to catalog those don’t let me forget when I’m feeling better please. @JNA1 no I don’t think you should expect anything for that but there could be other moving parts as everyone has referenced. So you could have something in common for something else.
