I was looking at my Cap One charges and noticed that OnStar is considered "phone/cable" category and MyFico is considered "internet" category. Has anyone actually gotten credit towards CB for these things on other cards for these same categories? Example, anyone put OnStar or MyFico on a CC with 5% CB (or any other CB CC) category of Cell or Internet and they have counted?

No but you just made me realize I’ve got 5% back on Internet purchases and I should try that with MF! That’s a pretty cool finding

MF charges code a Online Shopping on my BofA Customized Cash Rewards. That surprised me a bit, partly because Experian charges don’t code as Online Shopping.

It's too bad that coding varies between cards. I would be surprised if OnStar triggers the TV/internet/streaming cat on Cash+, for example.
