So I got a large VS 3.0 increase of +73pts on EQ yesterday! Did your TU score move similarly? I've seen wild EQ VS3 swings due to glitches and such, where TU has been more consistent.

I don't think the average age means anything at all since their graphic / front end only uses open accounts when the actual VS3 algorithm (like Fico) counts both open and closed accounts.

The balance changes / threshold crossings in addition to raw dollars probably were most impactful here, although with a score shift that big I'd expect something bigger to be at play.

So, I think I *may* have found a trend - VS 3.0 - at least EQ - (probably like Fico) really does not like either ind util >50% and/or agg util >50%. It could be both, really. I let my USB Cash+ report 69% util, which unfortunately also led to my agg util being exactly 50%. I lost -75 pts. The -75 pts is 2 pts more than I gained last time, which got me to thinking because: On TU, I lost -2 pts. So my thought is that the volatility of the EQ VS3.0 is due to 1 or bith of the above mentioned reasons, at least for EQ.

Remember, with VS3,, the algorithms are the same across bureaus, so it’s not just EQ, whatever it is.

It is just odd that only EQ swings around +/-75 pt when there is the same threshold change as TU, and TU only changes +/-2-5pts

I would probably chalk it up to a glitch. Individuals over the years have reported seeing wild EQ VS 3.0 swings through CK and when they only happen with 1 bureau score there's not really much else it could be.

I would say it’s due to a difference in the contents of the credit reports across bureaus. If they are the exact same and updated to the same level, then they should be the same score, otherwise it would have to be a glitch.
