Just did a little July cleaning my wallet lost a pound in old business cards/receipts I already found 110 dollars in partially used Amex and MC gift cards from god knows when.

What’s in my wallet? Free money apparently.

My AOD card is getting a lot more use than my Disco... Why? A lot of terminals we have visited recently either error when trying to tap or don't take tap to pay. Groceries should still max it, especially since husband went to the dentist today and found out he's going to have to add another $1500 to his Wells Fargo that's already up to $4K since he needs a crown and he just had to have an emergency appointment today because he broke a crown on another tooth on Friday... He's now out of dental insurance until January so his cleanings and anything else that comes up are all out of pocket.

That's only for dental. The whole maxed out coverage thing for general healthcare was eliminated with the Affordable Care Act. But yeah, this healthcare billing system is the most inefficient on the planet and a complete joke to virtually everyone else in the world. One nice thing about living in Michigan is that all the bs lies about Canadian healthcare don't work up here. Because we actually work with real, maple-syrup-blooded, hockey-puck for an appendix, Canadians, since we're so close and so many go back and forth across the border for their daily work.

Splurge here: https://porterroad.com/ I only take time now to recommend it because I saw your pictures of excellently grilled steak! Obviously, a man who knows how to treat a nice cut of meat with the respect it deserves. They popped up in my Amex offers a few years ago with 20% off $100 order, so I tried the 'basics': a bone-in ribeye, chuck roast, and some NY strip steak. All were fantastic and their chuck roast is a monthly staple now. I just made one yesterday.

There it is, Cassie invited Chuck to a roast and I saw no invitation for the rest of us. Let's boycott! :very-mad:

Dental is the absolute worst. Not only do you usually have an annual limit between $1K and $2K, after which they cover nothing, you usually have coinsurance where you're covering up to 50-80% of the procedure out of pocket anyway and they like to deny claims for stupid reasons which sends the dentist back to collecting directly from you. Jimi's dental plan was only $1250 for the calendar year so he's out of pocket on everything until January. At least he only pays a dollar a month for each of his benefits though because his company is extremely generous and pays the entire premium themselves.

Chase Freedom Flex for 5% at gas stations Citi Custom Cash for 5% on dining Discover it Cash Back not physically present, but in the digital wallet for 5% at the grocery store, the dentist, pretty much anyplace that takes Google Pay. FNBO Evergreen or PenFed PCR for 2% everything else. Chase Sapphire Preferred and Amazon Prime are in there for some offers I have activated for some merchants I just might accidentally stumble in to. Other cards for paying bills and such don't need to be carried around every day.

Ain't this the truth. Ever notice that Dental Insurance is such a small amount you really cannot do much? Covers the simple things in Dentistry and stops! :very-mad:
