EX2 is now showing Short Account History, Accounts with Balances, and High Credit Usage . Before it was just Short Account History and Accounts with Balances. EX8 changed from Short Account History to Short Account History and No Loan Activity. Changes in daily reports: From 4% to 6% aggregate utilization, both reports at 4-of-4 AWB From $1,632 to $2,412 aggregate balance. My cards close in this order: Mastercard (2nd), Visa (3rd), Discover (6th), and finally AMEX (7th). I'm switching which card reports $0 this month, taking Mastercard from $0 to $180 (9% of $2000 limit). Visa just went from $346 to $1,126 (2% to 8% individual util). No card is above individual util of 9%, so I didn't lose points from that individual Visa change alone. This is yet another time I have crossed that 5% threshold and saw a reduction in score. It must be something unique to profiles like mine with such short credit file history. It's been that way from the beginning to my current AoOA - and age of credit file - of 3yr 9mo. (Last month my Discover had the highest individual balance at $848, and it will be $0 when it closes in a few days. Agg bal will drop to $1,564 temporarily before AMEX updates later. Final agg bal will be $1,773.00 / 4% for the month, so I should see the points come right back.)

I want to keep balances reporting the same from November to December so I can isolate score changes from aging alone at AoOA 4yr0mo. So in January I could switch which card reports $0 again and see what happens as they update, like I did here. I kind of doubt that the window for this EX8 AWB anomaly is only 1 year wide. I really think it will be at least 2 years.

I would think so as well. How confident are you that it's AoOA impacting signal strength of this factor and not something else such as AAoA?

Not very now that you bring that up! I just reached AAoA 2yr 6mo this month for the first time. Now I have to go back and see if I switched which card reported $0 since I reached AoOA 3yr0mo in December 2020 (9 months ago). I didn't have Experian daily reports active for that entire time either. I hope I have that data somewhere because that's going to bother me now.

@Cassie’s theory is one I have considered and may be correct. My other theory is each category separately has its minimum and maximum point contributions. So if you’re already min/maxed out in a category, a metric may not result in a score change, until or unless it rises to the magnitude to go under the max or above the minimum. Therefore somebody maxed out like BBS might not see a change where Cassie might.

I think that could be a possibility too, regarding maxing out points for a certain category. I guess I'd then look toward profiles that are a bit younger than mine (less likely to be maxed out) and see if AWB impacts their EX8 scores or not. As always though, it will be tough to decipher the variable(s) at play... but, that's why we're here ;)

Well if the second theory is correct, age would have nothing to do with it as that’s a separate Category from Utilization which includes AWB.
